THINGS THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF
I probably don´t have to write much abouth The Human League except they were formed in 1977 and they´re still going strong. This track is from 1982 and was originally released under the alias The League Unlimited Orchestra. But the re-release that´s out now on Hooj Records is under the most common name. The re-release features remixes from Tiga, Kissy Sell Out and Justus Kohncke that are not very good, but the original rocks.

DMX KREW
This track is off a 12" series that was released on Ghostley International called Disco Nouvau and caught my attention because of its over the top poppy 80´s sound.
The DMX Krew have been making quality electro and techno and house for a long while and are for some reason kinda slept on. Let´s hope that changes in 2008. The track is from 2005 (I think) and you can grab more of the dmx crew´s stuff at Beatport.

And as a bonus a mix EDMX did for a Japanese radio station.

FEADZ IZ HUMANOID!
My last post was a wonderful mix from Paris duo Goon & Koyote. Featured on it is a track that´s also pretty darn wonderful done by fellow country- and city man Feadz and it´s the greatest thing to come out the Ed Banger camp for a loooong while now. Frankly all that Ed Banger shit is starting to sound the same to me, looking forward to the new Ladytron album produced by Vicarious Bliss though.
The track is a remix of the 1988 track by Brian Dougans a/k/a Humanoid and is featured on a remix album which you can buy Here. The album also contains a John Peel BBC session from 1988 that´s previously unreleased or aired or whatever.
Anyways as for the Ed Banger crew let´s hope they can come up with something different and start another trend in 2008. Until then enjoy this little diddy.

GOON & KOYOTE RA PODCAST
Goon & Koyote is a Dj/ production duo after my own heart. Their remix of Adam Kesher´s track Modern Times blew my mind, and probably rocked a dance floor or two. I love the track´s old school cheese and nu school charm. And now they´ve gone and done an grand mix for RA (Resident Advisor) that sounds like it´s mad up of a lot of influences with jacky chicago and booty house.
They are from Paris by the way (like everybody else nows a days).

OH HEVENLY DOG WHERE ART THOU?
My compadre Stanley Steel is making a lot of good stuff at the moment, but he seldom let´s anybody but me hear it. Go Figure. Anyways, now I got my hands on a remix he did of Musiq Soulchilds track "For The Night", and I´m posting that motherfucker. It´s a Bmore-ish thing that sounds much better than the original to my ears.

THE BEATBOX
A jackin´ house tune for you people... the old school way. DJ Bam Bam is a Chicago house producer, who in my opinion is a little too noisy and hard usually, but the original for this track is pretty cool too. But way cooler though is this remix by Chicago house legend Tyree Cooper. It sounds like it was made twenty years ago in a goody way and it´s got that great booty, jacky house sound.
Enjoy!!
