LET THE RIVER RUN

Photobucket

I just re-watched Mike Nichols´ simply brilliant feminist masterpiece Working Girl (a title which has in been credited to prostitutes mostly, maybe there´s a wordplay going on there?). What I didn´t remember (or know) about this picture was that the vocal diva Carly Simon was behind the score (which is basically the same song in different dramatic versions). The opening song which features Ms. Simon on vocal duties brings thoughts to Michael Jackson´s Will You Be There what grandness and scale and use of children choirs are concerned at least.

A beautifully bloated and epic track!
