Combo is from Portugal, and obviously makes funky ass electro music.

combo is a 25 years old producer from madeiras, portugal who got into dj'ing 2001 and then studied electronic music production from 2004 until 2006. i was totally stunned and blown away when i first heard 'just change' on his myspace, a goddamn funky disco jam with vocals from combo himself and catchy right from the start.

combo is currently planning on finishing about 6 tracks until the end of this summer, recreating a more darker disco/funk sound inspired by 80s horror soundtracks and classics of that decade, understanding the recording process and instruments used at that time and transport them right to todays dancefloors. judging by the greatness of 'just change' and its great production, i am sure it will work just fine.

Bergen beauty and hitmaker Annie released the original for this in 2004 along with the hit Chewing Gum. Swedish funkers Krazy Fiesta just dropped this remix in inter-web land that far surpasses the original in catchy-ness.

CCC is short for Chewy Chocolate Cookies, which is made up of 1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened - 2 cups granulated sugar - 2 large eggs - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa - 1 teaspoon baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 2 cups chocolate chips, according to their myspace. Also their Petites EP is set to drop and it might be worth checing out if this remix of Mehdi is anything to go by.

SEXUAL SPORTSWEAR

A track from another frenchman who has been on the scene for a while, he came up along with Daft Punk but he has kept a much lower profile. His music also differs a lot from Daft Punks, a little too chilled for my tastes usually. But this track with the genius title SEXUAL SPORTSWEAR is one of the most catchy I´ve heard in a while. The frenchman in question is, of course, Sebastian Tellier, and the track is from an upcoming album which you should probably buy if the rest of the tracks hold the same standard as this one. The 12" of SEXUAL SPORTSWEAR is out now with a remix form frenchy SebastiAn, which you can get at another blog or buy at Beatport.
